The University of Bristol – Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus
Asset Heritage were instructed by the University of Bristol to provide heritage advice on the development of a new £300m campus development adjacent to the Grade I listed Temple Meads Station in Bristol.
Asset prepared an initial Statement of Significance, which considered the existing contribution of the site to the settings of nearby heritage assets, advising how best the site could accommodate new development of the substantial scale required.
Asset was involved in negotiation with Historic England and Bristol City Council, which resulted in some alterations to the scheme design, and prepared a Heritage Impact Assessment for the scheme, including a detailed heritage-based analysis of a number of long-distance views in and around Bristol.
Outline consent was granted for the campus scheme in 2018.
